What's it all about?
We welcome you to a truly creative and immersive experience, Pottery Painting at The Kiln Café is a great way to let your imagination run wild.
We have a great range of pottery pieces to paint from mugs and plates, ornaments and trinkets, lamps and vases our stock is ever changing.
We also have a seasonal range of pots and pieces available, so you can design your own Christmas decorations, Mothers Day mementos, or celebration pieces, whatever it is you want to commemorate we have the ideal piece for you to design.
By yourself, with friends, colleagues, for your special occasion, or to entertain the kids come and paint at The Kiln Café. We offer sessions of 90 minutes (stay longer in quiet periods) and if you would like to start a project, we offer to store returning painters pieces. Returning painters will be charged a studio fee each time they come back. £4 in quiet periods and £10 in peak times such as weekends and holidays.
We recommend booking a space to avoid disappointment.
our process

pick your piece
Our ever changing stock includes, plates, mugs, trinkets, mementoes, and some larger pieces like vases and platters so there is always something to suit everyone’s budget. The cost of the piece includes painting, glazing and firing. We also have a selection of drinks and snacks available.

get painting
Design and hand paint your chosen piece. We give you all the info you will need and talk you through the process! Our paints are non toxic and we will provide all the tools and equipment you need, and even offer some design inspo if you need it.

leave it with us
When you’ve finished your piece we will glaze and fire it in our kiln. Sometimes items can become damaged during firing. This is very rare, however should this happen we will refund you the cost of the item in the form of a gift voucher. We will give you a date for collection, or we can post it out to you!
